Suitable for the whole family, and sure to ignite the imagination of young adventurers, this trail features play structures as well as our fun-filled Timberline Play Area. Find the magical forest fairies and their friends whilst playing in the fun play area.

Whilst you're exploring look out for our popular wooden sculptures on this trail, featuring characters from the well-loved Julia Donaldson story, the Gruffalo.

Our sculptures include the Gruffalo, the Gruffalo's Child and Mouse sculptures as well as the brand new Fox, Squirrel, Snake and Owl Sculptures who have joined us in 2024. Can you find them all in their homes in the deep dark woods? Bring a picnic to enjoy for lunch at one of our picnic tables or head back to the cafe for some tasty treats.
