A595 West coast road to Gosforth then follow the minor road through Gosforth towards Nether Wasdale. At junction in Wellington follow public footpath north north west into the forest.
Despite not having a gate on the main forest road through the forest, you should not drive through the wood. There is no parking available at the forest, please park near the entrance or in Gosforth and walk.
