Dalby Forest

Malton Sculpture Trail came to Dalby in an installation immersed in nature.

The trail was situated down our popular easy-access Ellerburn trail, featuring 10 sculptures from the Malton Sculpture Trail.

Malton Sculpture Trail is an open and accessible series of community art events based in Malton, Ryedale.

The Lumberjills disappear into the woods at the play's close, but rightly re-emerge to a burst of applause: applause intended as much for the women of the past as the cast. "There's an echo in the forest," they sing, an echo that will continue to tell of the Lumberjills' deeds.

Dalby Forest

Seeking the Turtle Dove was a collaboration between community artist Kate Rider, singer and musician Bridget Cousins and puppeteer Viv Mousdell.

The mysterious trail ran through the woods discovering captivating sights and sounds of this elusive bird, a symbol through the ages of love and peace.

Dalby Forest

Queen Green was an exhibition of new work by artist Susie Green that was inspired by her residency at Dalby Forest in the North York Moors. The exhibition celebrated erotic encounters with nature, and moments of confidence and fragility, growth and decay, lightness and dark. Works on paper and large cut-out mixed forms mounted onto wooden trellis portray powerful, blossoming, shapeshifting bodies.

Dalby Forest

Ryedale Open Studios 2021 was a project the inaugural open studios dedicated to celebrating the creativity and artistic talent of the Ryedale district of North Yorkshire. Coordinated by Vault Arts Centre Community Interest Company, the event celebrated and showcased the abundant arts and crafts taking place throughout the area.

Dalby Forest

Earth Photo, the international competition and exhibition created by Forestry England and the Royal Geographical Society (with the Institute of British Geographers), showcases photographs and videos that document the natural world, its breathtaking beauty, and its ever-growing fragility.

The Dalby Forest exhibition displayed a selection of the shortlisted entries, allowing visitors to view the stunning images in a beautiful forest setting.
