David trained in the NHS working at local, Regional and National level, he held a variety of Finance Director roles in the NHS with wider responsibility for areas such as Information Services, Performance Management, Risk Management and Estates.
He moved to the Forestry Commission in 2010 and has responsibility for Finance, Information Technology and Procurement. He introduced longer term financial planning into Forestry England and developed the long term financial model that's now embedded within the finance systems. The team recently delivered the transfer of corporate systems from GB shared services to cloud based systems, introduced a new chart of accounts and a new budget planning and monitoring package.
