100 Years of the National Pinetum - Thursday 6 March
We are marking 100 years of Bedgebury National Pinetum with a special guided walk led by Pinetum Curator, Dan Luscombe.
Learn about the rich history and evolution of this world-class conifer collection, from its founding in 1925 to its role today as a global leader in tree conservation.
Conifer identification for beginners - Thursday 3 April
With 615 conifer species in six distinct families, it can be hard to know which one is which! Learn how to differentiate between the tree species using the cones, needles and spring buds on this expert-led guided walk.
Bedgebury's blossom and spring flowers - Thursday 1 May
An opportunity to explore the pinetum and enjoy the wonderful array of spring-flowering trees, from cherry blossoms to crab apples, including our very own sweet chestnut tree named after and discovered by our first curator, William Dallimore.
Midsummer evening walk - Tuesday 24 June
Join a member of our tree team to experience the peace and tranquillity of the pinetum on a midsummer evening. On this immersive walk, you will take the less-trodden grassy pathways to discover some of the secrets of the pinetum.
