Events at Bedgebury National Pinetum and Forest - Meet in the atrium at the Visitor Centre

Join a monthly guided walk with our knowledgeable staff and expert volunteers as they guide you around Bedgebury National Pinetum. 

Together, you'll discover the seasonal highlights of the National Pinetum. As no two walks are the same, you might find a hidden gem or a new favourite spot!

Christmas trees - Thursday 5 December 

Learn fascinating stories behind these iconic trees, how they became symbols of Christmas, and the unique ways different cultures celebrate them. This guided walk will take you to majestic spruces, firs, and other exotic conifers that have inspired holiday traditions around the globe. At the end of the walk, warm up with a mince pie and hot drink in our cosy atrium. 

This 1.5-mile walk will lead you off the main pathways to get closer to our trees. 

Winter buds, bark and blooms - Thursday 6 February 2025

Join a member of Bedgebury's tree team to explore the National Pinetum where you'll discover a variety of intricately shaped buds, bark in stunning shades of copper and silver, sweet scented blooms and perhaps even a few berries. 

This 1.5-mile walk will lead you off the main pathways for an up-close experience with our trees.

100 Years of the National Pinetum - Thursday 6 March 2025

The National Pinetum celebrates its 100th birthday in 2025. Find out about the history of this world-class conifer collection and its journey to becoming the centre of tree conservation that it is today. 

This walk is approx. 1.5 miles and uses the main paths around the pinetum.
