Join us at Wyre Forest on 14 April to enjoy a fun day out and discover the range of activities we offer to help you plan your perfect class trip to the forest.
What to expect
A relaxed environment where you can chat to us, find out what is on offer, get to know the site and try out some activities.
Choose a 10.00am-12.00pm or 1.00pm-3.00pm session when booking. At your chosen time, come and see us in the Discovery Centre. To find us, head towards the toilets from the car park. Keep going and the Discovery Centre is the next building on the right.
- When you arrive at the Discovery Centre, help yourself to refreshments and give us your number plate to claim your free parking.
- Discover resources available to hire and activities for pupils. We’ll have our Ranger in a Bag, sensory explorer bag and Gruffalo orienteering out for you to explore.
- Find out about planning a self-led visit to Wyre forest or your local woodland with our lesson plans and resources.
- Explore our brand-new Stick Man education pack and follow the Stick Man trail. .
- Chat with Go Ape about their school offer and tree top adventures.
- Join Forestry England staff outside to have a go at some of the activities you can use on site with your pupils.
- Take a map of the site and check out the areas we’ve highlighted as the perfect places to take your group.
- Hot and cold drinks and biscuits are available in the Discovery Centre – please bring your own reusable cup/water bottle if you have one.

The event is aimed at anyone who is looking for inspiration for a school trip to the forest. You might be an early years educator, teaching assistant or school governor.

Can I arrive earlier or stay later than my booked session?
Yes! Please do. We would love you to enjoy a day out in the forest with your family or friends. Take some time out in nature and enjoy our playgrounds. At the time of your booked session come and see us in the Discovery Centre.
How do I claim my free parking?
You will get free parking for one car. When you attend your booked session tell us your number plate.
Can I bring anyone with me?
You get free parking for one car so please feel free to bring family or friends with you. Children (and adults) in your group are welcome to try out our activities.
