Walking at Silverhill Wood

Walking at Silverhill Wood

Silverhill Wood is home to miles of well-surfaced trails that criss-cross the woodland.

Meander through woodland, grassland and scrubland up to the highest point in Nottinghamshire. Marvel at the rolling rural landscape and enjoy the spectacular views. On a clear day you can even see Lincoln Cathedral.

To make it easier for those who may have mobility needs, at Silverhill Wood there is an “all ability” trail which runs parallel to the main track, known locally as the “Red Route”. It has a much shallower gradient, so those in who have difficulty walking up steep gradients are able to reach the top of the hill more easily. There are several benches along this trail.
