All-terrain mobility scooters in the Forest of Dean
Explore the Forest of Dean with an off-road mobility scooter
Visitors with permanent or temporary limited mobility can hire an all-terrain mobility scooter (also called a Tramper).
Trampers are safe and easy to use, even if you’ve never used a scooter before. All first time users are provided with a short introduction by our rangers to make sure you know how it works. It can tackle a range of surfaces and gradients come rain or shine.
They can be used to explore:
- Beechenhurst
- Symonds Yat Rock, leading down to the River Wye at Symonds Yat from Forest Holidays
- Cyril Hart Arboretum
- Mallards Pike

Trampers are provided through Countryside Mobility. If you are not already a member of Countryside Mobility, becoming one is quick and easy and will be part of your induction (£3 for one-off hire, £5 for 2 weeks, £15 for 1 year). You can then use Trampers at around 50 other beauty spots around England.
