A changing places facility

Essentials

Toilets

We have four accessible toilets at Alice Holt Forest. They are situated opposite the visitor centre, within the activity centre, next to the classrooms and within classroom one. The doors are 100cm wide and require a radar key to be opened (available from the visitor centre).

There an additional 14 ladies toilets and five men's.

Changing Places

There is a Changing Place facility on site, opposite the visitor centre. A radar key is required for use, available from the visitor centre if you don't have one of your own.

Needing help

Our friendly staff in the visitor centre are available to help but have not had any specialist training.

Arriving at the forest

We have two car parks. The large, main one is nearest to the visitor centre. There are no barriers between the car park and the visitor centre. 

The closest railway stations are Bentley (2 miles away) and Farnham (4 miles away). Bus service 18 (between Aldershot and Haselmere via Farnham) comes closest to Alice Holt Forest; get off at the garage in Bucks Horn Oak.

Car park

We have 20 accessible parking bays at Alice Holt Forest. They are the closest spaces to the visitor centre and payment machines. The car park is not free. We have self-service machines (with a help button) or payment can be made in the visitor centre. Payment via mobile app is not available.

The visitor centre

Access to the visitor centre is on a short path from the car park. The doors are not power assisted. One set opens inwards and the other outwards.

Inside the visitor centre you'll find a cafe, where music sometimes plays.

Getting out in the forest

The Easy Access Trail at Alice Holt Forest (1.5 miles) is suitable for most wheelchairs and pushchairs, and has an optional shortcut. You can find it near Beech car park.

Seating and shelter

There are plenty of benches to take a rest around the site.

Apart from the visitor centre and cafe, there is sheltered seating within the bandstand.
