Parking and prices
Parking charges apply at Fineshade Wood.
We have changed the way we take car parking payments in this car park
- You’ll still need to pay at the start of your visit
- Cashless (pay by card or by RingGo)
- ANPR technology enforcement on exit
Make sure you pay for long enough, or if you think you might need to extend your visit use RingGo which gives you the ability to do that whilst you’re in the forest without returning to your car.
RingGo
You can use RingGo* at Fineshade Wood which allows you to pay for parking online or via an app by following 5 simple steps. Please download the RingGo App before travelling. We recommend using RingGo if you are unsure how long you are likely to stay as you can increase your parking period from anywhere in the forest on the app.
Open the RingGo app, login with your details, select the location by entering the number found on the parking signs. Enter your reg and choose how long you would like to park, then just tap to pay.
If you’re not a smartphone user, you can still use RingGo to pay for your parking by calling 0203 046 0063. There is a small convenience charge for using this service. See RingGo online for T&Cs.

Thank you for paying to park. We use the money you spend on parking to look after the nation’s forests. We don’t make a profit and rely on the support of our visitors and members, so every penny you spend is invested by Forestry England back into the management of our woodlands and is needed to make Fineshade Wood a great place for a day out.
