Gruffalo Fun Day
Come along to meet the Gruffalo himself at our fun day!
The Gruffalo will be appearing at various time throughout the day and there will lots of Gruffalo themed activities on offer.
Appearance times
The Gruffalo will be appearing at 11am, 12pm, 1.30pm, 2.30pm and 3.30pm.
Please note that appearance times may be subject to change.
Fun day activities
Join us for a fun-filled, free family day out at Beechenhurst! We are celebrating the Gruffalo's 25th birthday, so join us for the ultimate party.
- Enjoy Gruffalo storytelling with our ranger team.
- Have fun at Price's Traditional Great British Funfair which will be with us all day.
- Learn a new skill - have a go at archery for free.
- Relax on the lawn in our picnic party area (weather permitting!), bring your own food or treat yourself to something from the cafe.
- We'll have lots of free lawn games to keep the kids busy.
- Visit our interactive Gruffalo Party Trail - remember to pick up an activity pack from Beechenhurst Cafe.

The event is free for all to attend, although parking charges do apply at Beechenhurst.
Meet and greets with the Gruffalo will be managed via queuing on a first come first served basis. We expect the day to be busy, so please be patient and be prepared to come back later if the Gruffalo is busy!
