Family fun weekend at Wyre Forest

As part of this year's National Nature Reserve Week, we are hosting a family fun weekend at Wyre Forest.

Did you know Wyre is the largest woodland National Nature Reserve in the country? Join us to celebrate all things Wyre!

The weekend will include:

Saturday 25 10:00am to 3:00pm: Family Activity Day

Join us for a variety of free, drop-in activity sessions for all ages including forest arts & crafts, bug hunting, and a paracord bracelet workshop. All activities take place around the Visitor Centre.

Saturday 25 and Sunday 26, 10:00am - 3:00pm: Meet the Machines

Want to get up close with some serious machinery? Our colleagues from Natural England will be on-site with their tractor, mower, log splitter, flailer, and more!

From the Wyre Ranger Office, follow the Gruffalo Party Activity Trail until you see the machines.

Wildlife Orienteering Course

From Monday 20 May through to Sunday 26 May, you can try our self-led National Nature Reserve-themed orienteering course created especially for NNR Week. Come to our information pod to collect the maps and resources or email Wyre@forestryengland.uk for more details.
