Learn the art of cleaving big timber.
Assessing the log for final products – posts, rails, palings, shingles etc. Reading the bark, the grain and the knots. Breaking the logs down with maul and wedges and then on down to smaller sections with a froe and cleaving-brake.
This course is a purely skills based course. Participants will leave with the skills to split timber for their own projects, but won’t take any products home with them.
