Join Fatpoppycat and Ashleigh Proud in The Great Oak Hall for an exhibition of ‘Handmade Nature’. Both inspired by the beauty of nature and all things flora and fauna.
Fatpoppycat creates beautiful decorations and brooches made from fabric due for landfill. What otherwise would have been thrown away is now transformed into one off pieces to adorn your home and clothes. Fatpoppycat also creates felt vases, mosaic decorations and wall plaques influenced by the natural world.
Specialising in enamel Ashleigh Proud recreates leaves, flowers and all kinds of botanical objects. Enamelling is the fusing of glass to a metal surface: once fired in a kiln the two materials fuse together, making each piece unique. Ashleigh’s work consists of framed artwork, trinket dishes, brooches, keyrings, greetings cards and more.
