Events at Westonbirt, The National Arboretum - Meet outside the Great Oak Hall

Sessions for home educated children with neurodiversity and learning needs.

We run five learning events throughout the year for home educated children, aged 7-11.

Two sessions are run on each date, one of them specifically for children with neurodiversity and learning needs. These sessions are quiet and relaxed with a maximum of six families attending, and extra consideration is given to sensory needs. If your child does not have these needs, please see the other event listing and book onto the main session.

Using the arboretum’s magnificent surroundings, your children will have the opportunity to engage creatively with the natural setting. Each event has a different theme and learning activity for the children to immerse themselves in.

These events are specifically designed for children aged 7-11 years, however younger and older siblings are welcome to join in.

Children aged 7-11 years are £6 per child, accompanying children are £4 per child. Two free accompanying adult tickets are available per booking, additional adult tickets are £10 per ticket.

To make your booking, email the learning team learning.westonbirt@forestryengland.uk

They will email you a booking form and when they receive your completed form, will provide you with a phone number to call to make payment ahead of the event.
